Already forever, a plaque will remind one of the bloodiest dates in the history of Denia, in on October 18, 1938, when a bombardment in the street La Via took the lives of 12 soldiers and a father and his son who had gone to take refuge from the death of the Heaven in that area. 18 October, just when 80 years ago, will be installed there, in the place of the tragedy, the logo will serve to pay tribute not only to those fourteen victims but to all recorded population in attacks from the air and sea during the Civil War.
The most symbolic act of will be Fem Memòria. Denia, war i repressió, a cycle in which the capital of the Marina Alta will attempt to understand between the months of September and November what came to pass in the city during the war and immediate post-war.
The activities contained in Fem memory, driven by the Municipal archive in collaboration with the Seu in Denia University (of the University of Alicante), surprised by its thickness: five lectures, two tours, two exhibitions and two books. Rarely had been such a deployment for an anniversary in a city so accustomed to them.
